CETP Basic Principles and Practices of Propane is the entry-level course that provides introductory instruction required for all new industry workers and is the prerequisite for subsequent CETP modules.
Basic Principles and Practices introduces students to: propane’s physical and combustion properties, identifying propane industry standards, how propane is produced and transported, safety codes and regulations, identifying basic parts of tanks, cylinders, fittings, and storage installations, maintaining a safe working environment, and more. This course will aid in preparing for CETP certification.

Who Should Attend?
Basic Principles and Practices is the introductory course for all employees, owners, managers, and others who handle, store, or transport propane in the State of Missouri. State law requires that these industry personnel must attend and complete an approved, state-certified training program every three years.
What to Expect
Students will take quizzes and tests to assess their pace of learning. A multiple-choice test will be administered at the end of the class. Tests are graded by a third party and the results are mailed to each company. Registrants must be in attendance for the entire session. A score of 70% or higher is required to pass the test.
Registration Includes:
The cost of student and test materials, pencils, markers and other materials. Lunch and refreshments are also provided. Other meals, lodging and travel are not included in the class fee.
